Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi Riserva 1997

Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi Riserva 1997

Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi Riserva 1997 is one of the best examples of red Italian who often gets overlooked this based on a DOCG. Taurasi, together with the Sagrantino di Montefalco is one of those great age, Red House power which should simply accept the loss of a great Italian ????????? varieties. Were any other country in which it Taurasi probably will be one of the jewels in its Crown, but the country in which Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino are so internationally lauded Taurasi, unfortunately, falling by the wayside. not so for indigenousness population.
This is a well known fact that Italians are prone to bouts of extreme campanilismo (translation: your own deep affection for the Bell Tower), that is, and eat drink and fruit ???????, believe that the best local only because it is not only the local Italian thing, we all do this, just like your mother Sunday Roasts are the best or ?????? Bolton are the best. For people missing big red Lazio, anywhere around the Rome I found serious red most popular my friends that has proudly on most lists a good restaurant, wine is Taurasi (yes even compared to Barolo), three million people rarely wrong not including Jedward fans.
However, this is not a simple home bias, Taurasi, at his best, the most beautiful example of Aglianico grape. Aglianico has a wonderful time of the rich volcanic soil Irpinia ??????? and Taurasi, high altitudes, Aglianico can produce one of the secrets of the world's best red wine can be kept in mind blowing over the remarkable ageing and beyond and radical changes through this curve ageing.
Three years standard Taurasi, but must be published after four Riserva.Wine can contain% less of the grape to another (usually Barbara).Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi Riserva is 100% Aglianico, considered one of the best of the year on year with Taurasi Gregorio Feudi San (reviewed last year) and Salvatore Molettieri.

Alois Lageder Cabernet Sauvignon no COR header Romigberg

Alois Lageder Cabernet Sauvignon mouth Romigberg

Alois Lageder is one of the major players on the map of the South Tyrol wine produced a large amount of quality wines and varied and affordable. The fifth generation of the same, one of the pioneers of bio does dynamic wine region is the latest Lageder.Like many manufacturers, Lageder region, buying grapes and their many local varietal wines one cheaper than most of these examples. fair wines at reasonable prices and good and a vast selection of grapes can attain complete mystery in South Tyrol are cool but sunny endlessly.

Single vineyard wines Lageder-grows along the lines produced a bio, the entire estate dynamic environment adapted to the level of solar panels with ?? propelling action.

Alois Cabernet Sauvignon Lageders Romigberg Fund is in fact and in South Tyrol. Although the area is blessed with a ridiculous amount of hours of sunshine, Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps not one that springs to mind when the varieties we envisage the South Tyrol because Cabernet Sauvignon loves heat to ripen here full time. However, it is exceptional management of vines here, as well as a comprehensive analysis of grapes which produced cool climate without "green" Cabernet.

The vineyards are South of Romigberg Lageder packages, how many kilometers south of Bolzano, North of the town of Termeno. Nestled between Lake and mountain, is a little surprising then that-Cabernet Sauvignon has a very prominent vein of real, of minerality. What is a surprise is the fruit of ???????, spice notes floral wine offers. With only 3% Petit Verdot grapes as accompanying it looks likely THE PV is driving the fruit.

Romigberg Fund is the pride of the brand Lageder, spend 20 months in new French oak and two-thirds, followed by an additional 8. vine bottle before release are high density using the Guyot system trellising. Italy these wines come to market around a € 30 that, comparing the Tuscan Cabernet Sauvignons of this standard is a bargain. This is the classic Cabernet so cool climates not imagine the taste profile will be something like a taxi or the southern Italian blend.

Recently I had the opportunity to try ' 03, excellent vintage warm all over Italy played a part in reducing the standard wine minerality, gave further notice on fruit.Romigberg Fund is that leverage the cellaring wine in a more typical vintages, but with ' 03 I am glad to say drinking wine is beautiful at the end of 2009.

In 2007 Beaujolais

In 2007 Beaujolais

Now for something completely different. taste Beaujolais 2007 cancel, Morgon in front of my good friend with Fleurie and blogger wine, wine Sleuth.

An excellent way to finish off this final blog November as we run our Italian wine from your life away, only to focus on Beaujolais. moment a few days ago, I had two Beaujolais wines from the famous British wine company very Bruce Berry, RAD, and decided to do a blog of Beaujolais that never really covered here.

A quick round up, therefore, those who know the Beaujolais region.

Beaujolais is the southernmost region of Burgundy wine within the existing denominations. Beaujolais, Beaujolais cru 10 villages, Beaujolais, Beaujolais Superieur. Generally agreed that the best examples of Beaujolais cru regions arrive 10 each cru provides their own unique take on the Gamay (a grape which Beaujolais).

????????????? Beaujolais wines usually old fresh flavor can be set to light red wines, in most cases with a profile of the cherry fruit over riding. However each cru wines impart their own unique features 10 on wine, as can be seen in VT; for example, Morgon, while just down the road is also presenting Fleurie easily by loving myself and wine sleuth!

If you're hankering to log into the Beaujolais do you find that really difficult if not memorise cru 10 provinces as well. Many cru Beaujolais wines are marked "Beaujolais" at all, simply "Morgon" or "Fleurie". Here's a guide to help you ... and me and it's a chick American.
Quick Guide 10 Beaujolais Crus

Chiroubles- producing Beaujolais wines in one of the lightest and most elegant and the best of the bunch to be drunk young.
St-Amour Cru northernmost whose wines benefit several years age.Dull when young wines grow into spicy wines supple, with a few years on the clock.
Brouilly- largest of Beaujolais wine regions, are young ???????, best drunk as opposed ...
Cote de Brouilly-Beaujolais more concentrated, grapey, rich, beneficial from a while.
Fleurie- the Cru's most famous street following the Fleurie. wines have typically had flowered in aroma, cherry, raspberry, feminine style drinks.

Morgon- cru's second largest, perhaps the most complex and unique Beaujolais. Can fool you with gooseberry flavours that you expect from Beaujolais. terroir here is quite unlike ??????? slate and other market, this affects the wine.To be drunk young, there is no other wine fruitiness of Beaujolais in its youth.

Juliénas- cru consistent structure with a unique and distinctive fruit includes peach, raspberry blackcurrants.According to producer Juliénas can be drunk young or take several years to develop the full potential is.

C. Moulin mechanically- most stable, tannic, full bodied each cru Beaujolais. Moulin wines usually mechanically, the most expensive building tour with age and become their youth are examples of Beaujolais still excellent.

Chénas next-next to Moulin mechanically, wines need at least three years to develop and when they are doing is considered one of the most complex very perfumed Beaujolais wines.
Régnié-light, supple, a wonderful example of Beaujolais and the young. All the latest Beaujolais Crus (incorporated in 1988) can be a little wine Regnie varied style.

Ruby Red in color, a little wine begins a fool on the nose with basic spices, cherries one hour after the time of the wine opens large and all kinds of smells come blackberries including fore wet stones on the palate the wine is a bit ... bitter but with great texture, pH, gentle tannins, good structure and balance. a good example.Points 88

Ruby Red in color, identical to the nose the wine is simply a raspberry and hints of cherry. this profile is the same as the palate after and simply, good acidity balance is beautiful and it is a typical example of Fleurie more fruit with the palate but still too and one of the following: 3D for my personal taste as Beaujolais Fleurie. is very good but this style of wine, not my personal taste.85 points

Rita Tua Shiraz 2006

Rita Tua Shiraz 2006
Sorry, I fell unconscious when extended under a heap of tasting notes, but I'm back now, let's say more about it. Instead, let's say a little more about this option, Tua Rita Syrah 2006.

Love affair between myself and the Rita Tua continues, so soft, eschew with Redigaffi sensual I never imagined would be a place in my heart for Rita II.
Tua Rita Syrah 2006, while missing the alter ego of punchy title sister Marlowe, is clearly more extrovert, stylish palate flicks for six and no apology for it. Still it aint.
Tua Rita produces some of the best single varietal wines in Tuscany proving time and again that this region is more varied and Sangiovese. Created in 1984, Rita Tua never courted Sangiovese, 100 m above sea level and rests on clay soil, Cabernet Sauvignon, they right Merleau, like to argue that, while ignoring the typical varieties of grapes local terroir still shone bright mixture in the glass. Maybe a little, but a glass Redigaffi, Syrah or Guisto de Notri, soon to be forgiving, and assertions in the flowery after a bottle you will find yourself completely agree! This bottle of
Tua Rita Syrah 2006 arrived at my door from freezing cold snowy morning March in London South along with the large bottles that will be blogged 11 until this month. I decided to review red charge 12 from 2006, vintage with such mixed reviews, I thought it would be fun to compare, contrast areas from all manufacturers are consistently on the game and the wines that rarely miss them. So how did to Tuscany, Rita Tua fair? The well. Very good. So I think I also actually began with the bottle is best, it could all be downhill from here. Drama, suspense ... I haz it.
-Buying-Rita Tua Syrah 2006 € 2 dark and full of hope, 100Deep, if I fall for wine based on looks alone, and then I like, well, if I could, I would have put a ring on it. Aromatically forward, beautiful with generous comments of blackberries, chocolate, vanilla. On the palate, this wine continues his seduction of chocolate and fruit with hit single that guide full of fruit jammy. Large wine, wine is still part of ??????? balanced perfectly. The winner.Points 98

Islington sample

Islington sample

Islington sample is unlike any wine shop on the island of this exhibition. "not because it makes the most exclusive range (although it does), and because it has a very special offers (that too), even not because the walls are covered with enomatics (like the walls of the sky).

Islington sample is my favourite wine shop in the world because it allows, and even encourages, wine geeks like myself to spend hours upon hours to sample the great wines, genning on Parker, Jancis and performing, most is the new wine, friends. Forget Corkd and Snooth, if you want your chums IRL then head up wine (or down) and make your way in the world of samples of wine as little p 30 sampler.

So, the pre-boot Xmas snowy walk, speak for Islington, train delays and snow ???? myself and wine Sleuth spent three hours to complete our work through excitement 25 + wines from all over the world. Enomatics diverging into areas location and types of grapes which taste correctly, goes red white light and finally to fine wine "serious" or selections, you can in the Middle, amazed by the variety, only regular amble over to the Sangiovese from Vouvray to tour as prisoners to Denise sets the rules for tasting! "Rules help control fun", encourages Monica!

The left eye. This card is the standard issue sample will lose him., don't leave it on the table, not to deposit it on a best friend. This is what passes for currency in these sections, there is no card; vino. let your employees know how much money paper you would like this card to represent, they use their machinery and combobulate until, as if by magic, you have full access to the courts and all the wines enomatics. clear.

There is a variety of 800-1000 wines you like, whenever one of these 80 are available for sampling, leave is available to buy.As samples run from little as p 30, even if you note £ 10 crystal-clear that still only a large number of wines to sample, there are great fun hours equal.

To get a sense of the current range of wines available for sample click here.

Shiny how! Tasty examples are available in three different sizes. However certainly good enough for a small, like a variety the spice of life, I recommend sticking to 25 ml and wines as well as 1000 are in the range of rotation, you can return the following month, faced a whole new group of wines. therefore, rule # 1, makes it easier for smaller samples for your money innit.

Rule 2: If somethings worth doing is worth doing it right. fine wines!

Not often passes your eyes over the 1978 Chateau Cheval Blanc but with 1998 Chateau Mouton Rothschild side of it, you must be careful to give all their properties "icons". At any given time there are six "icons", these included these greats and December two plus JL Chave Hermitage Conterno Barolo, 1998, of the Gran Riserva 1997 Bussia, screaming Eagle 1996 and Penfolds book in 1978.

During my visit to three hours before I could taste my 27 different wines from the best tasting notes that needs to go.

You can purchase gift vouchers and these sample will be perfect for any fan of wine in London based holiday next year, a birthday or any other event when exchanging gifts is acceptable.

Top 266 Street sampler, Islington, tests can be performed 020 7226 9500.However, I won't lie to you, by the end, a holiday or not, we were sufficient ?????.Therefore, rule 3: If you want that emulate myself and Sleuthy and enjoy yourself in all samples you want to brush on the art of spitting.

Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1998
Ruby red color, dense. This wine is the first monster from aroma through finish on the nose, power all the way.Quickly developed aroma of tobacco, leather, blackcurrant, chocolate.Drying-especially with the lower tannins huge but also displays the fruit bushes are very concentrated wine good. with great satisfaction the end really.95 points

Chateau Cru Sauternes 2001 to Guiraud
In the middle of a beautiful black on the nose the wine was all orange creme smoke even.I like Orange pudding ?????? of this wine palate sorts. is thick and heavy pretty rounded, with a long finish showstopping. Niiiiiiice.95 points

JL Chave Hermitage Rouge 1998
A lighter touch than expected but still Ruby Red crowded though 11 years. On the nose acres of spice, smoke, olives, bushes.Palate shows outstanding balance with full mouthfeel rounded, smooth and pleasant tannic, but still.Super powerful, thick from the beginning to the end lingering.94 points

Gilet Vouvray 1976
A deep golden color, aromatically. expression with nut profile on the palate the wine ??????. reminded me very Lyons golden syrup drizzled over the Kelloggs ?????? nut full bodied with Corkflakes. hints of Marmalade on desert glass finish. This is morbid, but not sweet.93 points

Chateau Cheval Blanc 1976
Red Garnet tinging a brick on the rim of the desert. as with any other notes of cherries and glazed, tobacco, Marzipan. today still amazingly vibrant on the attack but the hollow midpalate comes with flavours with keeping your knees on the back end.94 points

Scavino Barolo Bric del Fiasc 2004

Paolo Scavino Barolo Bric del Fiasc finest wine from the vineyards Scavino seemingly year, but the vintage of the 2004 balance masterclass. it looks as though the real potential of Bric del Fiasc has now realized, a project of over 30 years, I'm looking forward to see if you can raise Scavinos Barolo bar once more-vintage allowance.

Paolo Scavino production has long been a favourite for Piedmont fans know, not just for this top cru Barolo but for all its award winning wines has Barolo dell ' Annunziata Rocche. Scavino now produces 14 different wines that wonderfully to list the Piedmont with the Langhe Dolcetto, Barbera, blends well with some Cabernet Sauvignon Nebbiolo dominated.

Del Fiasc Bric not get close to the price of Gaja star prices, Giacosa Barolo, Voerzio et al. These wines are very sought after, they are often praised in Italy to fight in order to reach our shores and those who are quickly snapped.Bric del Fiasc 2004 Antonio Galloni's Attorney was wine raptures. Top manufacturers of wine vintage heralded is still in relative terms, QPR, hotshot. What is the point of 96 WA Barolo 2004 is still there for under € 60 a bottle?

Why is this so special wine? s cru Barolo wine was produced for the first time in 1978 when the son of Paolo ??????? convinced him that the grapes that particular area should be vinified separately as they are some of the best wine to be sold under its own label cru wine has grown since ??????. Now highlight of French oak is an interesting would be if the amount of the oak and the chapter on the barrel remains constant for future vintages. However, it was, as always, the integration of the grape, vinification vintage vintage of 2004 brought to new heights; this combination also produce a wonderful effect placed with age although not stayed seemed like this already killed a bottle.

Yarden Gewurztraminer

Yarden Gewurztraminer

Yarden Gewurztraminer? Yes. There's something about ?????? spellbinding, it is the old Jewish quarter. A warm summer evening here was I got my first taste of Gewurztraminer strictly and gefilte fish.

I seem fascinated by where I am? Looking off into the distance and wine bar romanticising about my own ??????? Well, the camera
tells lies, cos I really dirty looking feline stray eating fish I throw it not moments before. Ahhhh memories. Gefilte fish, hands down, the food item is the most vile, with strange texture ever put my lips, but a wonderful surprise was the wine.
Now, I don't know you but every time I take a weekend break or holiday I use it as an opportunity to feed my addiction to wine. This not only me, winos so serious. We talk with our partners and offer ?????? "Dordogne" so we slope Bordeaux, or "Tuscany" visit Chianti, even I managed to convince one partner was lovely Frankfurt at this time of year, only to find ourselves sailing down the Rhine, the Festival this year wine Assmanhausen 100! Look how that turned out, I had no idea of. However, I didn't understand this provides an opportunity it ??????. Polish interest in wine, Italian wine grows quickly, especially while I was there in the center of the square (Rynek Glowny) ?????? was already became a fairground for Hungarian wine event, of course, the Jewish quarter was at a restaurant and bar that offers strictly kosher wines. I don't see the Poles are giving up their vodka tastes anytime soon but turn the tide, they're even knocking out some decent wine themselves. If you could set up a wine bar anywhere, I select ??????. dreams ....

Israeli wines were revolutionary, no small part thanks to the Golan Heights (the team behind the Yarden). Israel now creates wonderful QPR wines but not just the usual suspects but also Gewurztraminer, like Cabernet Sauvignon, red international, Syrah, Merlot Noir tour, and, more surprisingly, Sangiovese and Gamay! Whites include Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon, Muscat Blanc, Riesling, sweet whites even Blanc de blancs sparklers. Israel to bring such a variety of fine grapes due to a variety of climatic condition expression, Israel itself takes a large wine way. There's a National Committee of the Israeli wine promotion within Israel, movement to push the country's indigenous grapes. I am afraid not to list them, because I don't know them, I have quite enough to compete in a world of grapes ????? indigenous Italian unless you know them, don't hesitate to send a comment! Doesn't taste this wine like we know all about love Gewurztraminers? In fact, Yes. like most of you, my experience is limited to Germany and Alsace Gewurztraminer with parity in the USA, Italian, New Zealand, from bottle thrown in here and making a terrible difficult to say what Clayton, Galilee region of Gewurztraminer has taste like. However, if this is what it should taste like, I.
